Now, L.Y. combines her storytelling gifts to help like-minded audiences dedicated to personal growth and development to overcome their deepest fears, aka monsters, which is the inspiration behind her compelling and engaging book, Don’t Look at the Monster, and her pioneering: The Monster Theory—a mixed media platform to help women realize their full potential in the face of adversity and embrace their passion, purpose, and power!
Who knew a scrawny, puny, terrified of her own shadow six-year old, growing up in poverty turned abused teen single mom would one day become an award-winning author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and empowerment advocate.
How did I do it?
One word: courage. But courage didn’t come easy. It took having to confront some of the most terrifying moments of my life.
I remember it so vividly.
I had just lost my mother, I was going through a divorce, had walked away from a lucrative 20+ year corporate career, liquidated all my assets, broke into my piggy bank, and defied my family and friends who looked at me sideways.
All in the name of embracing a more meaningful and purposeful life.

If you want impact, if you want results, and if you want to take your life to the next level then attend The Monster Theory event. It is a must! It addressed my past monsters and removed the shame. You know the shame game we do to ourselves when we’re embarrassed about our monsters. I was surrounded by powerful women who were supportive and encouraging. Plus it was a lot of fun! We all walked away feeling like we had gained a sisterhood.
